Doogie 5AM-9AM Mon-Fri

It's Doogie. Not "Dookie", or "Doobie". No, it's not a nick for Doug. Annnnnnnd...before you ask, I don't have the same, um, lifestyle choice that that other Doogie does.

As far as hobbies/likes...pretty simple. Sports. If there is a final score involved I'm into it. Whatever you got. Baseball, hockey, aussie rules football, cricket, bowling...love them all. And usually the only thing better than watching them on tv is going to see them live. Favorite teams: The TITANS, Vandy, U of Michigan, Red Wings (sorry Preds fans...I'm all for you guys until my home team comes to town), the Cubs (ugh), The Tigers (ugh), The Lions (MAJOR ugh)...

And if you have teams you love, you have to have teams you hate too right? The yankees, steelers (I hate those teams so much I can't even capitalize their names), OhHOWihateohiostate, Red Elephants, The Ravens, The Jets (I hate this team more and more every day), Chelsea (It's a soccer team in England. Don't get me started), and any team Pat Riley has been a part of in the NBA (sorry LeBron).

The only tv show I make time for is South Park, which I consider to be pure genius.
My XBox gets wayyyy more of a workout than I ever do...look for Doogiev19 when you're on XBox Live...but only if you want to get whupped in a game of NHL '11, or shot on Reach.

"Quick Hits"

  • You would be SHOCKED at the list of movies I haven't seen. The last movie I saw in the theater was, and I am totally serious here, Spider Man 2.
  • If I could, I would literally eat at a Golden Corral every single day for the rest of my life.
  • My favorite video of all time is watching Pedro Martinez throw Don Zimmer to the ground by his big bald head. Greatness. I seriously laugh EVERY time.
  • I have 4 cats. Don't judge.
Here is a short list of people that I would have put away forever if I were in charge:
  • People who use the ALL CAPS BUTTON ALL THE TIME
  • Bad Drivers
  • Most Reality TV "stars"
  • People who call it a "hose pipe"
  • The guy that thought putting that electronic billboard on the 65/40 merge on the south loop was a good idea. That thing is WAY too $%&#ing bright
  • Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens...and all cheating D bags

And finally...just so you know...I love my job. So much in fact if I were to win the lottery I would really really miss it while I lived on my own private island in the Bahamas.

Doogie @ Dark-Thirty

-Starting Monday, February 21, I'll start putting down some thoughts and set up your day a little bit as I'm getting things ready in the studio for Bob and Tom...wayyyy before most of you are getting up and about...and knowing my state of mind at that time of morning, I'm betting it's going to be quite the read!  Bookmark it!  -d
